The Student Leaders program invites Senior School Leaders to gather twice a year in support of their leadership roles in their school communities. It aims to support Catholic schools in building the leadership capacity of their young people. The program has a Catholic foundation and complements the nurturing of leaders that schools already provide. The Student Leaders Gatherings also presents an opportunity for students to meet leaders from other Catholic Schools in which they engage in discussions around what Catholic Leadership looks like and how COYYA can act as a support tool and accompany them on their path of leadership.

The world’s largest regularly occurring gathering of people is World Youth Day. Started by Pope John Paul II in the 1980’s, World Youth Days have been a pivotal way for young Catholics to engage in the life of the Church. The next World Youth Day is set to take place in Panama City, Panama from 22-27 January 2019. The Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults will be providing more information in the coming months about joining in the global celebration both locally and in Panama. Check back here for details or contact Peter Bierer
