2022 Diocesan Youth Assembly

The Diocesan Youth Assembly is a gathering of youth representatives ages 16-30 from across the Archdiocese of Adelaide to discuss issues that matter to them and to contribute to the wider Diocesan Assembly.

DATE: 17 SEPTEMBER 2022 /  TIME: 10:30AM – 4:30PM

LOCATION: St Thomas School, 10 Rushton Street, Goodwood SA 5034.

WHO IS RUNNING THE DYA?

The DYA is being organised by the Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults and the Council for Ministry for Young People in coordination with the Diocesan Assembly.

GETTING INVOLVED

The Diocesan Youth Assembly (DYA) is an important and rare opportunity for young people aged 16-30 across the Archdiocese of Adelaide to gather, dialogue and develop recommendations and actions to respond to their needs and issues that are important to them. It is an important discussion about the life, mission and future of our Catholic church community and will provide substantial input into the Adelaide Diocesan Assembly in October 2022. 15 participants from the DYA will be chosen to act as representatives of young people at the Diocesan Assembly in October.

The DYA will include:

• opportunity to connect with other young people

• small group discussions about key themes from the Diocesan Assembly

• live music & prayer

• guest speaker

• meals (lunch and snacks)

We’d love to see as many Catholic communities, from schools, parishes, movements and other organisations as possible represented to make sure that all voices are heard.

Is your community going to be represented? Nominate yourself or round up a group, come along and be part of the conversation!
