“Lift Up” on Good Friday—a pilgrimage of faith, reflection, and hope

WHAT IS IT?

Good Friday Night Walk: A Journey of Reflection & Hope

On Good Friday, young people and families were invited to take part in an evening pilgrimage through the heart of the city. As we journeyed together into the stillness of the night, we paused to reflect on the significance of this sacred day and created space for hope, even in moments of darkness.

Hosted by the Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults (COYYA), this all-ages pilgrimage wove together prayer, scripture, music, and moments of reflection, inspired by the faith and leadership of young people across the Archdiocese.

Young people, families, and the wider community were welcomed into this shared journey. Together, we honoured the solemn beauty of Good Friday, uplifted up the voices and presence of our young people, and deepened our reflection on the mystery and hope of Easter.
