WHAT WAS IT?
Power Up 2025 - Diocesan Jubilee of Youth Celebration
Power Up 2025 facilitated an afternoon of engaging workshops on a variety of topics with opportunities to experience reimagined prayer and spirituality, participate in spiritual reflection and formation, and hands on activities that were centered around faith, ecology and social justice.
After the workshops, Vigil Mass was celebrated by Vicar General, Fr Dean Marin. We finished the night off with dinner, live music from some local musicians, and closed with a praise and worship concert on the main stage featuring Proclaim Wildfire from the Lismore Diocese in NSW!

Power Up was open to young people aged 16-35.
Individuals under 18 years of age must have been accompanied by an adult. This could be a group leader, or a friend who is over 18 years of age. Consent must have been given by the parent/caregiver/legal guardian.

Power Up 2025 was held on Saturday 2nd August, from 2:00pm until 9:30pm at Sacred Heart College - 195 Brighton Road, Somerton Park.

This event was entirely free to attend (including the cost of all food and drink)!
However, we kindly asked that you register so we could plan accordingly.

Yes! We served dinner at 7pm with help from the amazing Filipino Project and hot drinks & hot doughnuts thanks to Van Dough.
Both dinner, hot drinks and desserts was completely free and included as a part of your free ticket upon registration!

While there was no on-site car park available on the day, there was ample street parking adjacent the school along Cudmore St, Scarborough St and Whyte St as well as directly across the road on Elgar Rd and Chopin Rd.
All street parking in the area is free.

There were 3 workshop sessions throughout the day, and you could choose any workshop, during any session. That means you could mix it up, explore different topics, and experience Power Up in a way that was totally YOU!
Whether you're into creativity, leadership, deep faith convos, or hands-on action — there was something for everyone.
And with so many combos, no two Power Up journeys would be the same!
